This was a collaboration I did with Chris.
Our school board brought together artists from each school and gave each of us a 4 by 4 foot canvas to paint.
The theme that the school board gave us was "gathered in one spirit".
I put together the scraps, and Chris did the figures.
Scraps consist of white and yellow phone book pages.

Theme: Gathered in One Spirit
Chris and I have collaborated our ideas and personal styles to present an artworks theme gathered in one spirit. We have combined the pink floyd style of sketching that chris does with the scrapbook style that I enjoy, to gather out styles in one artwork. Chris has drawn a figure that is made from three other figures. These three figures are meant to symbolize the three parts of a being- body, heart, mind- and together a spirit is formed. For the inside of the figure, we glued on pages from the phone book, which have peoples names and phone numbers so as to represent the people that are gathered in the spirit. The newspaper clippings symbolize the world around the gathered people, the world that they are a part of yet are protect from because of heir unity. By distressing the paper, it helps to show the passing of time and the fragility of a moment that is shared with the viewers. In collaborating materials, ideas, and styles, we have been brought together in body, mind, spirit, and on canvas.
